- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Optional: 1/2 cup marinara sauce or heavy cream for extra richness
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Spoon half the garlic butter over the chicken breasts.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan evenly over each breast.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until chicken reaches 165°F internal temperature and cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from oven, drizzle remaining garlic butter, and garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra creaminess, stir 1/4 cup heavy cream into the garlic butter before drizzling.
- Pair with pasta, roasted veggies, or a simple green salad for balance.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
