Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear each side of the chicken for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Set aside.
- Deglaze the skillet with chicken broth, scraping up browned bits. Stir in sour cream, shredded cheddar, and Parmesan cheese until smooth. Add sautéed onions or mushrooms if desired.
- Return the chicken to the skillet. Spoon sauce over the chicken, cover, and simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes until cooked through and flavors meld.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sauté onions or mushrooms before adding the sauce.
- Use full-fat Greek yogurt as a healthy substitute for sour cream.
- Adjust cheese amounts for more cheesiness or creaminess.
- Add smoked paprika or cayenne for a spicy or smoky twist.
