- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 can (20 oz) pineapple slices
- 1 jar maraschino cherries
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cans of fruit (peaches, apples, blueberries)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix yellow cake mix, eggs, water, and oil.
- In a greased baking dish, layer brown sugar, pineapple slices, and cherries before pouring the cake batter on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean and the cake is golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly, then flip onto a platter to serve and enjoy warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Reheat individual servings in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.
- Feel free to experiment with different fruits for the topping.
