- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup corn syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp blue food coloring
- 1/4 tsp flavoring extract (optional)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of granulated sugar, 1 cup of corn syrup, and 1 cup of water. Stir over medium heat until completely dissolved, then boil without stirring until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove the syrup from heat and add 1/2 tsp of blue food coloring and 1/4 tsp of flavoring extract, stirring gently to combine.
- Quickly pour the mixture onto a lined baking sheet, spreading it out with a spatula to cool evenly.
- After cooling completely, break the hardened candy into clusters and dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking. Serve and enjoy!
