Instructions
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in eggs and vanilla, then fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, baking for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are golden.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
- Freeze cookies for up to 3 months; reheat in the oven for a warm treat.
- For chewier cookies, use more brown sugar and slightly underbake.
