Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or turkey
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 4 large flour tortillas or taco shells
- Olive oil or cooking spray
- Optional extras: sliced jalapeños, sour cream, salsa, or guacamole for serving
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Mix in taco seasoning and water, then cook until thickened. Add diced onions, tomatoes, and cilantro.
- Lay a tortilla flat, add 2-3 tbsp of meat mixture in the center. Top with shredded cheese and additional fillings if desired. Fold or roll to form a neat bundle or bomb shape.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or lightly oil. Place the assembled taco bombs seam-side down. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C). Cook the taco bombs for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Allow to cool slightly. Garnish with cilantro, jalapeños, or sour cream. Serve with salsa or guacamole for a complete snack.
Notes
- Use fresh tortillas to prevent tearing.
- Seal edges well to prevent filling leakage.
- Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer’s size for optimal crispiness.
- Try different fillings like beans or bell peppers for variety.
