Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Marinara sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, beat eggs. In another, combine bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Roll mozzarella cheese into small balls, about 1 inch diameter.
- Dredge each cheese ball first in flour, then in beaten eggs, then coat with the bread crumb mixture.
- Fry in hot oil until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
Notes
- Ensure oil is hot enough before frying so bites don’t absorb too much oil.
- For a healthier version, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes until crispy.
