Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream or whole milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant and translucent. Add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, breaking apart the meat as it cooks.
- Pour in the beef broth and stir to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits. Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream or milk. Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce starts to thicken.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, stirring to coat everything evenly with the creamy beef sauce. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, stirring until melted and smooth. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a healthier version, swap heavy cream with Greek yogurt or almond milk, and use lean ground beef or turkey.
- To add extra flavor, include vegetables like spinach or peas.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave, adding a splash of milk if needed.
