Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or grated chocolate

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture to create a fluffy filling.
  2. Prepare a strong brewed coffee, then let it cool. Stir in the coffee liqueur if using.
  3. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they absorb flavor but don’t get too soggy. Layer dipped ladyfingers in a serving dish. Spread half of the cream mixture over the layer of ladyfingers. Repeat for a second layer, finishing with remaining cream on top.
  4. Sprinkle unsweetened cocoa powder evenly over the top. Garnish with grated chocolate or chopped chocolate if desired. Chill in the fridge for at least 10 minutes to meld flavors.
